With ATFH, I often run this mission for money. (IGN: Monk O F Legend pm me if you want a run).

I normally run the degen build, but I feel like I need a competative edge to beat the enourmous amount of competition in running this mission.

The current way I have it set up is:
1. Protective Spirit
2. Healing Breeze
3. (Damage Skill)
4. "You Move Like A Dwarf!"
5. Watchful Spirit
6. Mending
7. Balthazar's Spirit
8. Essence Bond

My problem for this build is that I don't have a skill that I can spam on the Great Destroyer to kill it.

So if anyone has a nice spam skill that could be added to make this monk build better, it would be much appreciated.

PS: Already tried Glimmering Mark and Word of Censure

maybe [Ray of Judgment]?
(i've seen a few people use that, together with degen and they finished it pretty fast)

[echo] [Pain Inverter] and have everyone that you run ball up on you.

Hex him, and watch as he does his AOE on everyone, that in turn will proc [Pain inverter] for every target it attacks. Thats 80X8 Dmg Max

In Hard Mode you may actualy not even need to copy [Pain Inverter] because of MOB's faster castingtime and stuff he may have killed himself before you need to cast the copy ^^

O wow Word Of Censure and Ear bite is amazing. Fastest I have ever seen a monk run it in hm. This is template code. I am to lazy to type out all the skills because I am just trolling the forums for 10 minutes before work.

I have never run the bar so ymlad is probably to kd that skill that can like 1 hit a 55 monk. However it might be able to be taken out for [finish him]? IDK

O and if it is a run people don't want to have to help you kill him. I know I wouldn't be willing to help and then pay. Not to mention that most probably won't make it to him in HM Since you run past like 3-4 eles.

...the normal build just uses the mesmer skill [illusion of pain]

What's the advantage of Word of Censure over Necrosis?

I've never seen it done without using a Mo/Me for both degen and [ancestor's visage]+[sympathetic visage]. If you can't deny him energy, he will have full use of his skills, including Lava Wave to heal himself and Call of Destruction to give you more Destroyers to fight. But since you have no elite, definitely consider [ray of judgment] and [spoil victor]. RoJ won't be as effective as it is in other places though, as Destroyers do not burn.

The AV/IoP build works just fine. I don't see the need to change it, except for intellectual curiosity. I certainly don't see people in CTC being selective about what build their runner is using for such a short run, as long as it works.
